MAKING YOUR MEDICARE PART C and SUPPLEMENTAL OPTIONS EASY TO UNDERSTAND!

What Is Medicare Part C (Medicare Advantage)?

Medicare Advantage, also known as Part C or "MA" plans, is an alternative way to receive Medicare benefits through a managed care organization (HMO's and PPO's). These plans are becoming increasingly popular due to their low monthly premium and extra benefits, but these come with tradeoffs that you need to be aware of. Some potential trade-offs to an Advantage Plan are having co-pays/coinsurance and limiting your provider options to a network.  If you have any further questions or would like to know what your options are, call Trever right away at (262) 352-3997. What Are Medicare Supplements (Medigap)?

Medicare Supplements, commonly referred to as "Medigap" plans, are some of the best health insurance coverage you can get anywhere. Medicare Supplement insurance is available to those age 65 and older enrolled in Medicare Parts A and B and, in some states, to those under age 65 eligible for Medicare due to disability or End-Stage Renal disease.

These plans act as secondary insurance to cover what is left over after Medicare Part A and Part B pay their share. This also means your coverage will be excellent, and you will not have to worry about networks. These plans are standardized, this means that when you are shopping for Medicare Supplement plans, you really are comparing apples to apples. Medicare Supplement insurance plans are not connected with or endorsed by the U.S. government or the federal Medicare program.

Potential downsides are that they are more costly, and you will need to find additional prescription coverage separately. Feel free to call Trever today at (262) 352-3997 to learn more about your options. To learn more about Medicare Supplements, click HERE!
