Who Is Trever Dahms?

Hi, I’m Trever Dahms. I’m a Florida transplant, born and raised in the small town of Oconomoc, Wisconsin. My journey down to Clearwater, FL was full of twists and turns. It first started at the University of Wisconsin, where after over 4 years, I still didn’t know what I really wanted to do with my life. I made the obvious choice and joined the United States Army.

While in the Army, I served as an Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) tech. In layman's terms, I was a part of the Military's bomb squad. It was an exciting job that led to meeting many extraordinary people. Over 5 years in the Army including a deployment, the majority of that time was spent in Fort Drum, New York. Needless to say, I wanted to run away from the snow and cold. 

After leaving the Army, I moved to Asheville, North Carolina. I still wanted to do something that allowed me to make a positive influence for my community, so I went back to college and became a teacher. I decided to teach everyone's favorite subject at their favorite age and became a Middle School Math Teacher. While in Asheville, I met my now wife, Erica. When she had the opportunity to pursue a job in Clearwater, I followed her.

Why I Love What I Do

I am passionate about researching insurance options, understanding the differences between companies and plans, evaluating your needs, and meeting people face-to-face to help them navigate the complexities of the insurance world.

In this office, I don’t sell, and I’m not run by data, analytics, numbers and reports passed down from corporate offices. I have conversations to get to know people to help figure out exactly what’s needed is to protect everything held dear. Clients aren’t just numbers or a paycheck; they are neighbors, friends… family. No one is too big or too small to be a part of this family—we welcome everyone!

My wife and I currently live in Saint Petersburg, FL, along with our Aussiedoodle, Dasher. We recently welcomed our first child on September 25th! When I’m not helping clients, you can catch me at the gym, the golf course, or the bowling alley.
